Samantha Kopec

Concerto Competition Winner, 2020 - 2021

Samantha Kopec is a senior at Tarpon Springs Leadership Conservatory for the Arts where she is both a strong academic student and a musician. She has performed with the Tarpon Springs Outdoor Performance Ensemble, Wind Ensemble, and the Jazz Ensemble on clarinet. Musically, she has been honored to represent her school in the Tampa Metropolitan Youth Orchestra, Pinellas All-County, Florida All-State, Honor Orchestra of America, and National Association for Music Education Honor Ensembles. Her leadership experience includes being freshman president, clarinet section leader, and the president of the band for the past two years. Samantha is the president of her school’s Tri-M National Music Honor Society Chapter and uses her leadership ability to serve the community. She is a co-founder of a local nonprofit called Feeding the Fosters Inc. whose mission is to provide meals and traditions to foster families. She has won local and national grants and earned the Gold President’s Volunteer Service Award and the Anne Frank Humanitarian Award for her service. Entrepreneurially, she designs websites for local businesses and nonprofits combining her computer and artistic skills. Currently, she is a student intern at Buffet Crampon USA and is applying to colleges. Her goal is to pursue a degree in music performance and business while continuing to give back to the community.
